During the first quarter of 2024, the top travel and local apps on Android in South America exhibited varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Airbnb started the quarter strong with over 400K weekly downloads but experienced a steady decline, ending the quarter with approximately 112K downloads. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at around 1.9M and dropping to about 1.36M by the end of March.

SUBE saw impressive growth in downloads, peaking at nearly 213K in early February. Weekly active users also increased significantly, starting at 126K and reaching approximately 378K by the end of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 226K at the beginning of January to around 83K by the end of March. However, weekly active users showed resilience, fluctuating around 2.5M throughout the quarter, ending with a slight increase to approximately 2.54M.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a varied performance with weekly downloads starting at around 96K, dipping to 56K, and ending at about 60K. Active users started at approximately 1.58M, dipped mid-quarter, and then recovered to about 1.65M by the end of March.

Google Earth maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at 52K and peaking at nearly 69K in mid-February. Active users hovered around 540K, showing minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
